About me
I am a recent BSc (Hons) UK Graduate living in the Bournemouth area looking to start a professional career in IT, having studied web architecture and programming, software and database modelling and development, data mining and marketing, during a four year course that included a 12 month industrial placement and final year web development project with accompanying 15,000 word report.
I am looking for work in web development, analysis or testing, and have development experience in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, HTML and CSS, and technical experience in training and support as a result of my studies and a 12 month industrial placement. My work has involved the design, development and support of web and email-based solutions that meet requirements and integrate well within the application environment; and my thorough, committed and enthusiastic approach to work has allowed me to perform well in my degree and engage with clients and users throughout the project lifecycle at a number of levels.
I have great interest in system usability, relational database architecture and data mining, and am also a proponent of the MVC model, CodeIgniter PHP web application framework, and other open source software and analysis and development techniques that together provide a better platform for the design and development of well-structured applications in a straightforward and timely manner.
